DOWNTOWN HOLIDAY PARADE APPLICATIONS DEADLINE APPROACHES
Now in its 20th year, the American General Financial Services Downtown Holiday Parade has become a community tradition for ringing in the holidays.  Each year, thousands gather along the Downtown sidewalks to watch the beautiful floats, marching bands, clowns, dancing troops along with much more. 

This year's holiday festivities promise to delight kids and adults of all ages and will take place on the
Sunday prior to Thanksgiving
 November 23rd

The day's festivities include the lighting of the City Christmas Tree and the highly anticipated arrival of Santa Claus.  In addition, Santa's Workshop presented by Fifth Third Bank will be located at the park on Fourth & Main from 1pm to 3pm and includes photos with Santa, free arts and crafts for kids and live entertainment.  The parade begins promptly at 3pm.

The deadline for applications for organizations to participate in the Parade is approaching.  The cost is $75 for each commercial entry and the fee is waived for non-profit organizations. 

Applicants are encouraged to have a theme for their entry, and all themes should reflect the holiday spirit in a positive manner.
